Frequently Asked Questions
Is a Race Night Legal?
Yes!
Providing you stay within the conditions of the Lotteries and Amusements act
1976 (Amusements with Prizes) for which no Licence is required.
A quick check on the Department for Culture Media and Sports own web site on
the subject will put your mind at rest.

How much float will we need?
More than you think
You will need about £80 for 100 people.
Will you provide the Race Cards?
Yes
We will provide a pre-printed race card that you may photocopy. Just ring and ask
for an information pack to be sent to you or print off paperwork from our
Download link. However some organizations prefer to
make up their own.
Will you want any of the Tote Money?
No
Unlike some Race Night Operators we work on a Fixed Fee Basis, What we Quote
will be all you Pay.
I Have heard about things like "Tri
Cast", "Dual Forecast Lucky Dips", What are
they?
These are additional ways of generating
income from your race night.
The
Tri Cast is a great way of covering the cost of your event before
the event even takes place. (Check it out in the download section for
instructions) Remember this is a pre-event activity
Dual Forecast Lucky Dips can be sold for all or just
some selected races. (sold at £1 it would pay £18 to the winner and generate £10
for the funds. However it can sometimes effect the amount your punters bet at
the tote in the race )
All the paperwork for the added bets etc.
are available for download from this site or ask at the time of booking
